STORY LINE: Just one thing I would say, an official remake gone horribly wrong. To start with, Laxammi, it is nowhere close to the original Tamil film Kanchana, although i noticed modifications in the narrative to cater to the Hindi audience. The problem with Laxammi lies in its weak screenwriting. It hinges on humour for most of its first half, but it doesn’t work. It is only towards the second hour, when Sharad Kelkar makes an entry, that the narrative gathers momentum. That point onwards, right till the finale, it got little better.

What disappointed me:

Raghava Lawrence who played as Raghav in Kanchana. Now here comes Akshay playing role of Asif. Was it necessary to make him a Muslim boy here.

From the starting of movie i noticed the mockery of hindus. A film just made to spread the anti hindu propoganda for muslim appeasement.

Here they have shown hindus are the worst part of society. Villian wearing Shoes in Maa's temple.

Unnecesaary hindu-muslim angle and was it necessary to show that hindu families are cultureless where a mother consumes alcohal and shouts at her husband which is to be honest, just opposite to our hindu culture.

Film failed to scare, it was too much overacting done by side actors as well as Akshay Kumar. Very low class making.

Thank god Sharad kelkar nailed it. His 15 minutes cameo deserves appreciations and claps.

Kiara Advani was average. Nothing much to expect from her. Akshay and kiara were more looking like father- daughter.

Overrall, a movie full of hinduphobic propaganda. Anything connected with hindus is shown in a bad light and glorifies peaceful community. Combined with hamming and mindless overacting. Just wait one day Bollywood will prove that 9/11 was done by a Sadhu.

So it's better to watch Kanchana again on star gold.
