METASCORE: 80
AGE LIMIT:12+
DIRECTOR:FRANK DARABONT
Genre: Drama
Summary/Storyline: I am not generally a fan of breaking down stories into plot points, I find it too reductive. In a good film, everything is a plot point. The Shawshank Redemption they have (spoilers ahead):

"1. INCITING INCIDENT
A batch of new inmates arrives at Shawshank Prison, and the cons bet on who will break down crying first. Ellis 'Red' Redding (Morgan Freeman) puts his money on Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), but when the cons "go fishin' with the first-timers" that night and the chief guard Hadley savagely beats a "fresh fish" because of his crying, Andy doesn't make a sound, costing Red two packs of cigarettes. (00:17:46)

2. LOCK IN (End of Act One)
While tarring a prison roof with Red and some other cons, Andy overhears Hadley complaining about paying taxes for an upcoming inheritance. Andy approaches Hadley, who threatens to throw Andy off the roof, as Andy informs Hadley how he could shelter the money from the IRS, offering to set it up for Hadley "nearly free of charge", asking only three beers apiece for each of his "co-workers". (00:33:41)
3. FIRST CULMINATION (Midpoint)
When a donation of old books and records arrive at the warden's office, Andy finds a copy of Mozart's "Le Nozze de Figaro", locks the guard assigned to the warden's office in the bathroom, and plays the record on the phonograph over the prison's PA system. Norton, the warden, arrives furious at the act of defiance. Hadley breaks into the office, and Andy is sent to solitary confinement for two weeks. (1:05:29)

4. MAIN CULMINATION (End of Act Two)
With new information to prove his innocence, Andy asks Norton to help him get another trial, assuring Norton he won't reveal the money laundering schemes he set up for him, but Norton reacts by throwing Andy in solitary and luring Tommy, the only inmate who can testify on Andy's behalf, to meet him alone, where Norton has Hadley shoot him four times in the chest. (1:31:54)

5. THIRD ACT TWIST
While Andy is not accounted for as usual from his cell, Norton finds Andy's shoes in a shoebox instead of his own and rushes to Andy's cell, demanding an explanation. With increasing hostility, he throws one of Andy's sculpted rocks at a poster of Raquel Welch, and the rock punches through and into the wall. Norton tears the poster away to find a tunnel just wide enough for a man to crawl through.

#2 "GODFATHER 1"

RATING: 10 OUT OF 9.2 this is second highly rated movie
GENRE:  CRIME,DRAMA
AGE LIMIT:16+
METASCORE:100
DIRECTOR: FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA
SUMMARY/STORYLINE: Godfather is one of the finest movie ever made. It offers you a brilliant cinematic experience.

It shows how a destiny may turn a generous and a peace loving guy into the most dominant and the feared personality of the town.

It shows how far a person could go to protect his family and loved ones.

It shows that the political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.

It shows that you may end up losing your loved ones in pursuit of money and power.

Okay enough, the above points will not motivate you to watch the movie.

Now allow me to add some of the famous quotes from the movie and I am quite sure you will have a urge to watch this movie at this very moment.

So here they come,

“I'll make him an offer he can't refuse.”

“Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than the government. It is almost the equal of family.”

“Great men are not born great, they grow great . . .”

“Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgment.”

“Revenge is a dish that tastes best when served cold.”

“A friend should always underestimate your virtues and an enemy overestimate your faults”

“A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.”

“The lawyer with the briefcase can steal more money than the man with the gun.”

“You cannot say 'no' to the people you love, not often. That's the secret. And then when you do, it has to sound like a 'yes'. Or you have to make them say 'no.' You have to take time and trouble.”

“I don't trust society to protect us, I have no intention of placing my fate in the hands of men whose only qualification is that they managed to con a block of people to vote for them.”

“Italians have a little joke, that the world is so hard a man must have two fathers to look after him, and that's why they have godfathers.”

“Tom, don't let anybody kid you. It's all personal, every bit of business. Every piece of shit every man has to eat every day of his life is personal. They call it business. OK. But it's personal as hell. You know where I learned that from? The Don. My old man. The Godfather. If a bolt of lightning hit a friend of his the old man would take it personal. He took my going into the Marines personal. That's what makes him great. The Great Don. He takes everything personal Like God. He knows every feather that falls from the tail of a sparrow or however the hell it goes? Right? And you know something? Accidents don't happen to people who take accidents as a personal insult.”

“Accidents don't happen to people who take accidents as a personal insult.”

“Many young men started down a false path to their true destiny. Time and fortune usually set them aright.”

“Never let anyone know what you are thinking.”

“Behind every successful fortune there is a crime.”

“Time erodes gratitude more quickly than it does beauty!”

“Why should I be afraid now? Strange men have come to kill me ever since I was twelve years old.”

“A man who is not a father to his children can never be a real man,”

“There are things that have to be done and you do them and you never talk about them. You don't try to justify them. They can't be justified. You just do them. Then you forget it.”

Thanks for scrolling down.

#3 "THE DARK KNIGHT"

If you are a super heroes fan then this movie is made for you the from this movie joker become famous our getting popular

RATING:10 OUT OF 9.0
GENRE:ACTION,CRIME,DRAMA,THRILLER
AGE LIMIT:12+
METASCORE:84
DIRECTOR:CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
SUMMARY/STORYLINE: Eighteen months after swooping dramatically off of a roof at the finale of Batman Begins, everyone's favorite brooding vigilante (Christian Bale) is hard at work making life safer for Gotham City. The bad guys are running scared… until they get a visit from the Assassination Fairy, wearing a purple suit and calling himself the Joker (Heath Ledger). He promises to get rid of the Batman in exchange for a literal mountain of money, as well as putting the kibosh on crusading district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart).

Meanwhile, Batman and Dent team up with Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman) to put the mob's last remaining money launderer out of business. They think they've finally nabbed him when the Joker escalates his campaign in earnest: assassinating a judge, blowing up a hospital and executing Gordon's big witness against the mob. Batman tries to hang on as best he can, but when his best friend (and Harvey's best gal) Rachel gets killed in the middle of it all, even he questions how far he'll have to go to bring this guy down. When the Joker puts the kibosh on Harvey's sanity for good, it turns him into the villainous Two-Face. Batman has to stop not one, but two madmen intent on destroying any semblance of order in the city.

The Joker gets ready for Batman by wiring a pair of ferries to blow up, one filled with good citizens and one filled with imprisoned criminals, then giving the detonator for each ferry in the hands of the other and threatening to blow them both up if someone doesn't pull the trigger. The Batman bets otherwise and he's right: after stopping the cops from inadvertently killing a separate group of innocent hostages (the Joker's a busy guy in this one), he subdues the Joker and they both watch while neither ferry blows up.

Sadly, the Joker now has Harvey on his side, and in taking down the Clown Prince of Crime, Batman has forgotten about Two-Face. Ole Scabby Chin has taken Jim Gordon's family hostage, leaving Batman to rush off once again and save the day. In the ensuing scuffle, Harvey falls to his death, and while Batman saves Gordon's family, he can't stop what's about to happen. Word of Harvey's insanity will get out and all of those criminals he put away will be back on the street.

There's only one way to stop that from happening. Batman takes the blame for Harvey's crimes. That leaves Harvey's prosecution intact and the people of Gotham safe, but at the cost of the reputation of the one man who made it all possible. Yeah, we know, it's kind of a downer. If you want something happier, stick around for The Dark Knight Rises, which brings Nolan's Batman trilogy to a somewhat more upbeat conclusion.
